Event FAQS

The Crystal Palace Park events are held at the Italian Terraces Crystal Palace Park, South East London, SE19 2GA.

The main entrance is via “Canada Gate”, off Anerley Hill.

PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT THERE IS NO STEP-FREE ACCESS FROM THE MAIN ENTRANCE AT THIS EVENT. ACCESS TO THE ARENA IS VIA A STAIRCASE (40 STEPS).

WHAT TO BRING / THINGS TO REMEMBER

Your ticket

Your Oyster, contactless card or travelcard

Your cash card / debit card / credit card. FP EVENTS 2024 is going cash free! Please keep it safe! All vendors will also accept mobile payment from both android and apple devices.

Check out the latest weather before you leave for the event.

Bring clothes for any weather eventuality – hat, sunglasses, rainwear, warm clothing, Empty plastic bottles of any size are permitted, metal water bottles are permitted.

Bring ID if you look under 21 in order to be admitted to the festival. You will also need ID if you want to buy alcohol and look 21 or under.

Medication is allowed (if accompanied by doctors note / prescription or if it is recognisable) – If you need to bring medication with you, we recommend bringing a doctor’s note or a prescription for it if it is not easily recognisable. Please be understanding if we question what you’re bringing in as it is important to prevent drugs getting into the festival. Plus, tell your friends of any allergies you have. Medication is allowed (if accompanied by doctors note / prescription or if it is recognisable).

Photographic equipment is permitted provided that it is for personal non-commercial use only. Lenses must be less than 6 inches. **Please note, professional cameras and video / audio equipment are strictly prohibited.

Empty reusable plastic bottles (up to 500ml) are allowed however coffee cups must be empty, metal water bottles are permitted.

ENTERING THE EVENT

If you look under 25, we may ask you to prove your age. If you’re under 16 attending with a parent / guardian, we may ask them to prove they’re 18 or over.

BUYING ALCOHOL AND TOBACCO

A challenge 25 policy will be in place for all alcohol and tobacco sales on site. If you look under 25, we will need ID from you or we cannot sell you a drink.

The only accepted proof of age documents are:

  • A Passport (Not a photocopy)
  • Driving Licence
  • A Proof of Age Card bearing a PASS hologram
  • A Ministry of Defence identity card
  • A National identity card issued by an EU member state

You can take snacks into the event for your own consumption.

No drinks will be admitted on site. Empty reusable plastic bottles (up to 500ml) are allowed however coffee cups must be empty, metal water bottles are permitted.

Please don’t bring any alcohol or glass bottles.

Children 12 and under are free with an adult ticket holder aged 18 or over. If you are bringing a child aged 12 and under to the event, please bring proof of age as you may be asked for this by our entrance staff.

Children under 16 years old (aged 0 -15) must be accompanied by a parent or guardian (18 or over) at all times. Children aged 13-17 will need a full-price ticket.

If you’re 16 or older you can attend on your own, please bring ID with you.

We do not accept any parental or supervisory duty of care or liability for any under 18’s on site.

Large bags are not permitted into the event.

There is no cloakroom or storage facilities for large bags. Bags must not be left at entrances, surrounding areas or with security/event staff.

Abandoned items will be found and disposed of.

We consider a small bag to be W21cm x H30cm x D8cm (A4 Size).

Bags will be searched on entry to the event.

To avoid lengthy queues, please avoid bringing a bag.

Please note – you will also be searched at the entrance to the event which may include a full-body pat-down and/or use of hand-held metal detectors.

Any item(s), which may reasonably be considered for use as a weapon, or which may cause danger or disruption to any other persons at the event, will be confiscated.

Please allow plenty of time to get into the event, for event entry procedures, ticket checks and searches.

We appreciate your cooperation and patience when entering the event.

If you lose anything at the event, please go to the Lost Property tent as soon as possible to report/retrieve a missing item. Alternatively, if you have already left the event, please visit this website and follow the instructions: https://eventswellbeing.co.uk/lost-property

Please clearly describe the item you lost and provide your full contact details.

Strobe lighting – pyrotechnics, lasers, smoke machines, strobe lighting/special effects may take place during some performances.

An event map will be provided here in due course.

There is no public car parking at Crystal Palace Park Events. There will be road closures in place around the event so pick ups and drop offs will not be possible. Unauthorised parking will likely result in a fine. Please use public transport where possible.

TRAIN

Crystal Palace Park is very lucky to be situated extremely close to Crystal Palace Train Station (services to Clapham Junction, London Bridge, Victoria station, Highbury & Islington), Penge West Train Station (services to Highbury & Islington) and Anerley Station.

The stations are served by National Rail and Overground services. Crystal Palace Sation is accessible for our access customers.

Please note – these stations will be busier during event times.

Keep up to date with the relevant train operator websites for any strike action.

CRYSTAL PALACE STATION

  • National Rail Services to & from: London Bridge, London Victoria, West Croydon, Beckenham Junction
  • TfL Overground services to & from: Highbury & Islington

PENGE WEST STATION

  • TfL Overground services to & from: Highbury & Islington, West Croydon

ANERLEY STATION

  • TfL Overground services to & from: Highbury & Islington, West Croydon

Please use services from these stations to connect to TfL Underground services from Victoria, London Bridge and Highbury & Islington.

BUS

The Crystal Palace Bus Station, on Crystal Palace Parade, services buses towards Central London, Croydon, Bromley, Brixton, Streatham, and Clapham.

Bus Routes: 3, 122, 157, 202, 227, 249, 322, 358, 363, 410, 417, 432, 450.

Night Buses: N2, N3, N63, N137.

Due to the event, diversions may be in place and different stops will be served. Please keep an eye on the website for travel updates.

AT THE END OF THE NIGHT

Long queues are expected after the event. A managed queuing system will be in place to enter the station at both Crystal Palace and Penge West stations.

Crystal Palace station

Long queues are expected after the event. If you are travelling towards central London, you are advised to use the Overground services or the National Rail services from Crystal Palace and then connect to TfL lines.

For southbound travel

Use Crystal Palace or Penge West station. Alternatively take local buses to reach your destination.

TAXIS

There will be a dedicated taxi drop off / pick up area, please follow event signage and staff directions.

UBER / BOLT

There will be a dedicated pick up and drop off area, located in the park. Please follow event signage and staff directions.

Disability Access:

Uber has wheelchair accessible and mobility options in the app. Find out more at t.uber.com/uber.access

CAR

Car Parking is not available at the Crystal Palace Park Events. Please be warned that wardens will be on patrol throughout the event and your car will be towed.

There is no customer camping at Crystal Palace Park Events. If you are looking to stay overnight after the event, we advise you to look for a hotel near to Crystal Palace Park. Local transport will be in operation after the event ends if you need to get around London.
